But the move has left users lower than thrilled.
The sudden change has left many scratching their heads and slamming the decision on social media.
One consumer took to TikTok to share the shock, stated: "Out of nowhere my work pc changed the default font from Calibri to whatever this is and it seems like type of sick joke."
Many have grown used to the consolation of the font's rounded stems and corners because it was launched in 2007.
Nevertheless, Microsoft announced it was bidding farewell to Calibri in 2021 – marking an end of an era.

Luckily for loyal Calibri users, the change is just not permanent as it may be switched back.
Microsoft has offered an easy technique to revert to the basic font.
All it is advisable do is open Microsoft Word navigate to Residence, and choose the Font Dialog Field Launcher.
From here, choose Calibri and your most popular measurement.
Then go for 'Set As Default' and you may add it to the present document.
