The Christian Siriano show noticed a return to ultra-styled hair, with Unilever stylist and superstar artist Lacy Redway pulling it back into low sculptural chignons and ending it off with gold flake accents. "My inspiration for this look is sort of actually a reflection of Christian's collection," Redway says. "Once I first noticed the clothes, I needed to reflect the reflectiveness of the designs within the hair while also indulging in blunt and unique textures that make the look really feel enjoyable and futuristic."
Redway and her group used a set of products from Dyson and Tresemmé to realize the look, including the brand new& Dyson Supersonic r dryer& and globs of Tresemmé Mega Management gel, which gave the hair that high-shine end.
At Helmut Lang, the models' glossy hair had edge. The collection — the second by artistic director Peter Do — asked: Is the best way we gown armour or adornment? In magnificence, that translated to slicked-back hair, worn down, that exuded both confidence and utility. The smoky make-up played with this concept, too. "Makeup artist Daniel Sallstrom needed the fashions to appear to be that they had achieved their make-up perfectly, then stepped outdoors and confronted the weather," Cat Quinn of MAC Cosmetics stated on Instagram.
The modern types continued at Coach's Fall/Winter 2024 show, the place wet-looking straight hair played a juxtaposition to the fragile pieces inside the collection–from coquette-inspired bow sweaters to satin purple ruffle skirts.
We saw loads of high-shine, glossy hair on the couture exhibits final month, with Schiaparelli, Fendi, and Giambattista Valli all giving us takes on it. We anticipate lots more this season, in New York, London, Milan, and Paris.
