Gareth Southgate won't think about Mason Greenwood for his England squad heading to Euro 2024 but has not dominated out a return beyond this summer time's competition.
Greenwood left Manchester United to join Getafe on a season-long loan after his mother or father membership made a late determination towards reintegrating him back into the first-team squad.
The 22-year-old has not played for United since his arrest in January 2022 for tried rape, controlling behaviour and assault. Greenwood had all charges against him dropped last February.
His mortgage transfer to Getafe has been a profitable one, scoring eight objectives and providing five assists in 26 appearances.
Greenwood has been capped once by England back in 2020 but is just not in rivalry to return within the coming months with Southgate fearing his presence would show to be a 'distraction'.
'Nicely for me I don't assume it's something for pre-Euros,' the England boss stated.
'I feel allowing him to get his profession going once more overseas seems to have been a superb transfer but I've to say I've not tracked it intently.
'I feel at this moment in time it will be an enormous distraction for the staff and let's see the place that leads subsequent season.'
Greenwood has made one senior appearance for England in September 2020, coming off the bench in a 1-0 victory over Iceland.
