ALEX Salmond told Sharon Stone he'd help her master the Scottish accent in a 'fraction of a nano-second' – before teaching her to say 'haud yer wheesht', in a flirty TV chat with the movie icon.

The former First Minister, 69, sat down with the film legend in an episode of his telly show Turkish Tea with Alex Salmond, calling her "bad, beautiful and dangerous to know".

And when Stone, 66, revealed she'd need him to help her learn the lingo if she was to make a film in Scotland, Eck jumped at the offer.

He asked: "I heard a hint you might even be coming to Scotland to make a movie."

She said: "I've heard rumours but no-one has approached me directly so should that occur, you betcha.

"The closer I get to my ancestors, the happier I'll be.

"I haven't mastered the Scottish accent so I would need you to be my tutor."

Eager Salmond replied: "It would take me probably about a fraction of a nano-second to say yes to that.

"I'm saying yes immediately. I'm not even asking for the rates, the pay or anything, I'm just saying yes."

Sharon joked: "I bet you're expensive. I'll buy the food."

Excited Eck said: "I can handle that job, ok"

Stone: "They say you have to gargle with razor blades."

Eck: "Well possibly. Listen, if Mel Gibson can do it I know Sharon Stone can certainly do it."

He added: "That would be a rare privilege and I'd be delighted to help."

He then goes on to tell the US film star how to pronounce a well-known Scottish phrase that has Stone in stitches.

He said: "The one I've chosen used to be predominantly used by men towards women but now times have changed, thankfully.

"Probably more women towards men."

Stone then asks: "You mean, haud your kweeshed?"

Eck: "Haud yer wheesht."

Stone: "Kweeshed."

Eck: "Wheesht"

Stone "Wheesht."

Eck: "That's it!"

Stone shot to fame in the 1990s starring alongside Michael Douglas in the thriller Basic Instinct – with a scene where her character tantalisingly crossed her legs causing a sensation.

But during her blether with Salmond for Turkish broadcaster TRT World, the actor-turned-painter bemoaned the years she spent on the silver screen as a global sex symbol.

But smitten Eck was having none of it.

He said: "If I may say so, your characters were a bit more than sex symbols.

"I mean you were bad, beautiful and dangerous to know. You played powerful women, not just sex symbols."

Sharon even broke down in tears as she confided in the Alba Party boss about the emotional moment she won a Nobel prize.

Their chat finished with Eck presenting Stone with a St Andrew's Cross pin badge she spotted on his lapel.

The delighted star replied: "It's a beautiful colour. That's just lovely."

Salmond said: "That's for you, Sharon."

She promised: "Oh wow. I will wear that."
