Super Bowl winner Duane Thomas dead at 77: Former RB helped the Cowboys win first championship
Former Cowboys running back and Super Bowl winner Duane Thomas has died at the age of 77. No cause of death was immediately reported. 'The Great Duane Thomas passed away yesterday,' his former teammate Thomas 'Hollywood' Henderson wrote on social media. 'He was a great Cowboy. On his comeback he was one of my roommates in Thousand Oaks. Lots of laughs and moments. RIP.' Thomas helped the Cowboys win their first Super Bowl in 1971, rushing for 793 yards and a league-leading 11 touchdowns.
