Thai fighter breaks her silence ahead of facing gender row boxer Imane Khelif at the Paris Olympics
Janjaem Suwannapheng, the opponent who will fight Algerian boxer Imane Khelif on Tuesday evening, has spoken out ahead of her meeting with the fighter that has been embroiled in a media storm over her alleged gender ineligibility. The 25-year-old was disqualified from IBA competition in late 2023 on the heels of reportedly failing undisclosed 'gender eligibility tests', but Khelif's lightning-quick bout against Angela Carini at the start of the Olympics thrust her into the spotlight after the Italian was downed in 46 seconds.
