Brendon McCullum has been named as England's new white-ball coach after managing director Rob Key decided to unite the jobs following the sacking of Matthew Mott. McCullum will remain as head coach of the Test team, and will not take charge of the limited-overs sides until the white-ball tour of India early next year, quickly followed by the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. His ECB contract has been extended by two years, until the end of 2027 – which means he will be in charge for that year's home Ashes series.
