Channel 4's Paralympics coverage has been slammed by Sharron Davies after the broadcaster appeared to praise transgender athlete Valentina Petrillo. The Italian sprinter became the first openly transgender athlete to compete at the 2024 Games on Monday - the second ever - racing in the women's T12 400m in the morning, but failing to reach the final. Petrillo, 51, who is a father of two and won 11 national titles as a man before transitioning in 2019, competed in the T12 classification, which is for athletes with visual impairments.
