Danny Welbeck taken off on a stretcher after horror injury in the final minutes of Brighton's clash with Newcastle - with forward given oxygen before leaving the pitch
Danny Welbeck had to be stretched off the pitch at St James Park following what appears to be a serious injury. The Brighton ace fell to the floor in the 77th minute following a coming together with Newcastle defender Fabian Schar. The collision between the pair appeared minuscule, however the 33-year-old immediately fell to the floor in agony, with medical staff being called on the pitch immediately. Welbeck was treated for several minutes on the pitch, where he required oxygen before he was taken away on a stretcher.
