V8 Supercars star reveals his fear over huge problem that could ruin the Bathurst 1000 for half of the field
Jack Perkins has expressed fears over the Ford engine issues that caused havoc at the Sandown 500 last month ahead of this weekend's Bathurst 1000. The race weekend was rocked following a spate of crankshaft failures to multiple Mustangs during the race day. Kiwi driver Richie Stanaway, who was bidding for his second victory at the event, was another affected by the issue. The New Zealander saw his engine seize up mid-lap and was forced to wrestle his car to a stop.
