One week after Donald Trump's return to the White House was confirmed, South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol has started practicing golf in preparation for future diplomatic meetings. Yoon and Trump have yet to hold the highest political offices in their countries at the same time. Trump left office in January 2021 after being defeated by Joe Biden in his first bid for reelection. Yoon took office in 2022. As Trump gets back into the Oval Office in January, Yoon is trying to get a one-up on other world leaders to have time with one of his critical international allies.
