One year after coming three points short of a championship in Super Bowl LVIII, the San Francisco 49ers aren't returning to the playoffs and will own a losing record. But change will not be coming to the coaching staff or executive level - at least, not at the top of the food chain. Speaking to the San Francisco Standard, 49ers owner Jed York says that both head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch will return to the team for the 2025 season.
