Adrien Brody Breaks World Record at 2025 Oscars for Longest Speech

Before the Sunday, March 2, ceremony, Greer Garson held the Guinness World Record for her 5 minute and 30 second speech in 1943. (Garson, who died in 1996, won Best Actress for her role in Mrs Miniver.) Brody beat the record on Sunday, speaking for a whopping 5 minutes and 40 seconds at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles while accepting the award for Best Actor in a Leading role thanks to his role in The Brutalist.
