The Beach Boys cofounder Brian Wilson comes from a family of musicians. Brian, born in June 1942, is the eldest child of Audree Wilson and songwriter and music publisher Murry Wilson. His parents later welcomed sons Dennis Wilson and Carl Wilson in 1944 and 1946, respectively. Brian, Dennis and Carl later formed the Beach Boys along with cousin Mike Love and friend Al Jardine, and the group became one of the most influential bands of the rock era.
