Chelsea splash out £62.4m on TWO youngsters from Sporting Lisbon as Portuguese side announce double deal for £43.7m winger and £18.7m midfielder
Chelsea have completed the signings of Sporting Lisbon youngsters Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo in a £62.4m double deal. The Portuguese side confirmed the transfers with Quenda's move costing the Blues £43.7m. Sporting revealed Essugo will join the Blues Premier League side for £18.7m this summer. Quenda, a Portugal Under 21 international, will stay at Sporting next season before moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2026. Man United had been exploring a deal for Quenda, who turns 18 in April and previously played under their now head coach Ruben Amorim at Sporting.
