Footy identity Eddie McGuire has turned heads after bizarrely claiming 'women in the AFL' previously forced the league to issue a lengthy suspension to GWS star Toby Greene. It follows an infamous incident in 2021 when the Giants hardman was found guilty of intentional contact with umpire Matt Stevic during an elimination final win over the Sydney Swans. Greene's original three-week ban was increased to a six-week suspension by the AFL Appeals Board after then CEO Gill McLachlan expressed his disappointment at the original ruling.
