A four-wicket victory over New Zealand in Dubai, inspired by captain Rohit Sharma's powerful 76, was their 23rd win out of 24 in the last three ICC events – with the lone defeat, by Australia at Ahmedabad in November 2023, costing them the final of the one-day World Cup.
