Stefano Domenicali will be confirmed as continuing in his role as Formula One's chief executive for the next five years, Mail Sport can reveal. The 59-year-old Italian is set to emerge from a game of musical chairs among American owner Liberty Media's F1 executives not only still in his current position but apparently strengthened. An announcement about the extension to his contract, which will run until the end of 2029, is expected within the next few hours, ahead of Friday's practice sessions for the opening race of the season in Melbourne on Sunday.
