Arsenal and Liverpool 'suffer major transfer blow' as Real Madrid 'step up interest in Martin Zubimendi' after pursuit of Trent Alexander-Arnold
Real Madrid have reportedly made Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi their primary transfer target this summer after 'already agreeing' a deal to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold at the end of the season. According to reports in Spain, the LaLiga giants are certain to land Alexander-Arnold when his Liverpool contract expires on June 30 - and have now already turned their attention to the next player on their transfer wishlist. Zubimendi, 26, has attracted interest from a host of top clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City over the last few months, with Mail Sport exclusively reporting in January that a £51million deal had virtually been agreed with the Gunners ahead of the summer transfer window.
