High school track athlete left paralyzed after tripping and falling into a brick wall during his warm up
High School track and field star Dylan Wescott was tragically left paralyzed during a meet last month when he accidently tripped and fell head-first into a padded brick wall during a warmup. Wescott, 18, suffered the severe injury on March 15 at the Westwood Sports Complex in Sterling, Illinois while preparing for the triple jump event. During his warmup, Wescott landed in the sand after an attempt and tripped into the wall, which was only a few feet from the pit in the indoor venue.
