TheDallas Mavericksannounced thatCooper Flaggunderwent an MRI, which revealed a left midfoot sprain.
The injury is expected to keep him out of action for the rest of the week, including the Mavericks' game against theLos Angeles LakersonThursday, Feb. 12.
Flagg suffered the injury during a game against thePhoenix SunsonTuesday, Feb. 10.
The injury will also keep him out of the NBA's All-Star weekend festivities,according to reporter Marc Stein.
The rookie was expected to compete for Team Melo inthe Rising Stars Challengeon Friday.
Flagg had averaged 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 49 games played this season. He's considered the favorite for the NBA's Rookie of the Year based on odds atBetMGM.
