Last night was a big moment for Team USA women at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

Alysa Liu, 20, of Oakland, California, brought down the house with herfree skateThursday,winning the gold medal. After an incrediblecomeback journey, Liu isthe first American womanto win an individual figure skating Olympic medal in two decades.Watch(or rewatch) her incredible performance.

Also victorious on the ice:USA women's hockeydefeated Canada 2-1 in overtime to capture gold, marking the Americans'first Olympic gold medalsince the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. The Americans trailed much of the contest, beforeHilary Knight scored an equalizerwith less than three minutes remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime.Megan Keller's sudden-death goal in overtimeclinched the gold.Watch the OT win.
