Smith ran an underneath route that turned into a big play thanks to the athleticism of the Buckeyes top pass catcher.

Julian Sayin then found Jeremiah Smith later in the first half on a designed screen play that yet again turned into a game-shaking play. Smith caught the pass 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage, then used his teammates' blocks to get himself to the sideline. The Heisman favorite was able to flex his speed and go untouched for a 40-yard touchdown reception, his second of the contest.
