Arsenal were so amped up before Saturday's 3-0 win over Bournemouth that manager Mikel Arteta was reportedly forced to step in and stop their final training session early.

The Gunners restored their four-point advantage at the top of the Premier League table thanks to a penalty from Bukayo Saka and second-half strikes from Leandro Trossard and Declan Rice, with Manchester City not in action until the day's evening kick-off against Wolves.

Arsenal enjoyed total domination over their opponents during the opening 45 minutes, racking up 16 shots while the visitors only mustered one.

The north Londoners also attempted 10 tackles, nine of which were successful, as they pressed and harried Bournemouth into submission and in truth they should have gone into the half-time break further ahead – even if there was some controversy over Kai Havertz's trailing leg for the penalty.

Bournemouth made much more of a game of it in the second half and had several good opportunities to equalise, though their momentum was halted when Trossard doubled the lead in the 70th minute.

There was another moment of controversy soon after when Bournemouth were denied a goal, with Dominic Solanke rather harshly adjudged to have impeded David Raya, and the Gunners were able to see out the win and bank three more precious points with Rice adding a third late on.

During Arsenal's blistering first-half display, TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher revealed that the Gunners were so fired up going into the match that Arteta actually had to halt Friday's final training session early because the players were bringing so much energy – and tenacity – to the session.

'They're really impressing early on here, Arsenal,' said Fletcher during the early stages of the match.

Co-commentator Lucy Ward replied: 'Yeah they're at it, Arsenal. They've started at a lot higher tempo than Bournemouth.'

Fletcher then revealed: 'It was whispered to me earlier this morning that the final training session yesterday was pretty high in tempo and physicality.

'So much so that Mikel Arteta felt the need just to calm it down a little bit, call an earlier halt than he would have liked to have done.

'But very, very pleased with what he saw from his players and that aggression is what we're seeing here in the early moments.'

Speaking about Arsenal's first-half display, Rice said afterwards: 'I think you saw in the first half it was domination. We could have been four or five up if I'm being honest with you. I missed a sitter and I was fuming to be honest.'

The result puts Arsenal on 83 points with two games left to play, while the 3-0 victory has also bolstered their goal difference even further – with the Gunners now +10 over Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's side are four points further back with two games in hand, the first of which comes on Saturday evening at home to Wolves.

After that, City face back-to-back away trips to London to face Fulham and Tottenham before hosting West Ham on the final day, while Arsenal have a mouth-watering trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United next weekend followed by a home clash with Everton.

Ronnie O'Sullivan has high praise for one referee (Picture: Getty Images)

Ronnie O'Sullivan may have claimed that some referees have got it in for him, but clearly not Tatiana Woollaston, who he believes is the 'best ref in the world by a mile'.

Woollaston has long been one of the best referees on the circuit, first officiating on television back in 2011, making her Crucible debut in 2020 and taking charge of finals at the Welsh Open and British Open.

She is refereeing the World Championship semi-final between Dave Gilbert and Kyren Wilson this year in Sheffield, a first experience of the one-table set-up at the Crucible, where she is excelling once again.

The Rocket is certainly impressed, saying: 'Best ref in the world mate. By a mile. All day long for me. She should do this year's final.'

12-time women's world champion Reanne Evans said: 'She's a top ref, top, top ref. I really rate her, she's a great girl as well.

'She deserves the final. She's top class and I hope she does get the final next year.'

It certainly seems only a matter of time before Woollaston gets to take charge of the biggest match in the sport, with the widely-respected ref so highly thought of throughout the game.

Paul Collier is refereeing this year's Crucible final, the fourth time he will take charge of the World Championship showpiece before retiring from the role to focus on his position as Tournament Director on the World Snooker Tour.

O'Sullivan's praise for Woollaston comes after he claimed that 'some referees have got it in for him' after a clash with Desislava Bozhilova during his quarter-final defeat to Stuart Bingham.

The strange scenario saw the referee re-spot the black after O'Sullivan potted it, but the ball slightly rock on a small indentation on the baize and a nearby red become impossible to pot.

The Rocket asked the referee to re-spot the black again and when she eventually managed to stop the ball rocking on the divet, the red was then pottable, but O'Sullivan chose not to pot it as he didn't feel comfortable gaining an advantage that way.

However, after the incident he told Eurosport: 'Some of the referees, I think they've got it in for me, so I wanted to prove to her she's got it wrong.

O'Sullivan clashed with Bozhilova in Sheffield (Picture: Getty Images)

'Then I didn't feel good about having to pot the ball after that. I just wanted to make the point and the point was made.

'I'm not that hungry to win in that way. I'm more of a principles person, so once the principle's been made, I can sleep at night.'

After the defeat he was asked about what happened and said: ''I won't be commenting on players or referees, it's not worth it.

'I'll keep silent on that sort of stuff. I won't comment on players and I won't comment on referees. I just leave it as it is. My life's too good and I don't need the hassle.'

Conor McGregor told Ryan Garcia to 'get your head together or kill yourself' in a now-deleted social media post following the boxer's failed drug test – and now the 25-year-old American has hit back.

It was alleged this week Garcia failed anti-doping tests the day before and the day after his shock win over Devin Haney at the end of April. The boxer tested positive for banned substance ostarine – having also fought 3lbs over the required weight limit on the night.

Garcia and his team have strongly denied allegations of cheating with the fighter insisting 'I have never taken a steroid in my life'.

Haney was floored three times as he lost in New York with the previously undefeated fighter and his father and trainer, Bill Haney, furious with this week's developments.

In a post shared on X, McGregor sympathised with Haney and his father, insisting if he was Haney Snr, Garcia would be 'dead no matter what for doing that'.

In the post, the Dubliner also took aim at UFC star Sean O'Malley who has previously tested positive for ostarine, although it was later deemed the levels on his system were consistent with taking a contaminated supplement that was out of his control.

McGregor blasted both fighters in his social media rant, ending it with a chilling message to Garcia who has previously suffered with his mental health and depression.

'Cheated the weight and was juiced, lifetime ban,' McGregor said.

'Sad to see, sad to say. Sad and a bit sick. Don't come near me if I see you ever Ryan Garcia. I am actually disgusted.

'This ostarine reminds me of Sean O'Malley was on that as well. I don't like this, I'll bust yous both up, do you want a spar I will set flight right now for you both for a full on spar each.

'Hotel, black forge inn the lot. #LetsSparOMalley and #Garcia two little ostarine heads I'll ride you both like yous are ostriches.

'Wtf is up. What do you think you are at? If I was Haney's dad you're dead no matter what for doing that. Crazy.

'What the f**k happened to you, you little fool. Get your head together cos I'm gonna smash it in with elbows if you don't.

'Fair play Devin well done. Your performance has just become even more heroic! Bravo.

'GET YOUR HEAD TOGETHER OR KILL YOURSELF.'

Haney meanwhile has insisted he is not interested in a rematch with Garcia.

The American suffered the first defeat of his career that night with his team calling for the fight to be ruled a no-content, therefore removing the loss from his otherwise perfect record.

Garcia was posting until the early hours on social media, responding directly to Conor McGregor, even threatening to 'break' his 'weak ankle' and challenging him to a 'bare knuckle' bout.

The Spurs boss has been criticised over his side's defending on set pieces (Picture: Getty)

The agent of Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin has blasted Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou and warned his client may have to leave the north London club after just six months.

Tottenham signed the centre-half from Genoa during the January transfer window, seeing off interest from Bayern Munich and Napoli to bring him to the capital in a deal worth £25million including add-ons.

Dragusin however has started just two matches for Spurs since joining the club, firmly behind Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in the pecking order.

The Romania international has not featured since the 2-1 win over Luton at the end of March with Tottenham's defensive frailties coming under the microscope in recent weeks.

The club have suffered three straight defeats to Newcastle United, Arsenal and Chelsea, dealing a major blow to their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League, with their problems defending set pieces exposed in each of those games.

Dragusin was ever-present in the Genoa starting XI prior to his January move playing as part of a back three.

Postecoglou has been steadfast in defending his tactical approach, insisting he is 'not interested' in focusing on improving his side in set piece situations as a priority.

Dragusin's agent Florin Manea has now openly criticised the Australian manager, suggesting his client his currently being misused in north London.

'The coach said many times he does not want to play with a three-man defence, evidently he knows best, but Tottenham concede a ton of goals. Playing with three gives more security,' Manea told Radio CRC.

'I also think Tottenham concede a lot of goals from set plays, so Dragusin would be very helpful due to his power in the air, he used to get all the headers at Genoa.'

Manea suggested Dragusin may even consider a return to Italy should he not receive assurances over his place in the team.

'If he doesn't play, then we have to think about other solutions, but he only arrived in January, so that seems unlikely right now.

'If Bayern and Tottenham hadn't been there, he would've chosen Napoli. If they were to offer a loan, especially if Antonio Conte was the coach, then we could evaluate that.

'I can say that if Postecoglu told Dragusin that he is only considered an alternative to the other centre-backs, then he would not stay just to sit on the bench.'

This summer's tournament kicks off on 14 June

Uefa has confirmed squad sizes for this summer's European Championship in Germany have been increased from 23 to 26.

A statement released on Friday confirmed: 'The UEFA Executive Committee has today decided to increase the maximum squad size of the teams participating in the upcoming UEFA EURO 2024 from the original quota of 23 to 26 players.

'The increase does not represent an obligation for the participating national associations. In accordance with the competition regulations, teams must provide UEFA with a list containing a minimum of 23 players and a maximum of 26 by the deadline of 7 June.'

The news be a welcomed boost for Gareth Southgate and England with the Three Lions boss facing a number of selection headaches ahead of this summer's competition.

Southgate has previously been among the managers who have called for expanded squads.

'There is one more UEFA meeting where there's been a little bit of talk amongst some of the coaches about possibly increasing that [squad size],' Southgate said after recent international friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.

'We've got to make the best decisions with what we know and some of those currently are going to be medical decisions.

'And we've been able to get those right in the previous tournaments.

'We've been able to give people time, but with 23 that's definitely more difficult.'

Competing nations were allowed to pick 26 players for the delayed European Championships in 2021 with Covid isolation protocols still in place during the competition.

Fifa kept the 26-man squads in place for last winter's Qatar World Cup, given it took place in the middle of the traditional club season.

Uefa had planned to revert back to the traditional 23-man squad rule but the change will now ease pressure on managers heading into the tournament which begins on 14 June.

Ipswich Town have returned to the Premier League (Picture: Getty Images)

Ipswich Town are back in the Premier League for the first time in over 20 years, securing back-to-back promotions under manager Kieran McKenna.

It has been an amazing time for the Tractor Boys since McKenna took charge in December 2021, securing promotion to the Championship last year and now earning their spot back in the top flight.

Incredibly Ipswich have lost just six of their 46 Championship matches this season, scoring 92 goals, more than any other side in the division.

McKenna has rightfully received a lot of credit for his work at the club, but it has also been a huge turnaround since a change in ownership in April 2021 when former owner Marcus Evans relinquished control.

Who owns Ipswich Town?

A US investment fund called ORG, which manages funds for PSPRS (the Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System), owns 50 per cent of the shares in the club.

US-based private equity firm Bright Path Sports Partners this year took a 40 per cent stake in the club after making a £105m investment in March.

That investment saw ORG's stake in the club reduce from 90 to 50 per cent.

The other 10 per cent of shares are owned by a range of smaller investors, including the trio of Brett Johnson, Berke Bakay and Mark Detmer, who make up the Three Lions fund.

Does Ed Sheeran own Ipswich Town FC?

Ed Sheeran gets down to Portman Road when he can (Picture: Getty Images)

He does not. Although this rumour does still float around.

Sheeran is a big fan of Ipswich and his involved at the club, providing shirt sponsorship since ahead of the 2021/22 season when the team were in League One.

He has continued to sponsor the shirts since then and is expected to in the Premier League as well.

When was the last time Ipswich were in the Premier League?

Ipswich were last in the Premier League in the 2001-02 season, finishing 18th in the table and being relegated back to, what was then called, Division One.

They had spent two seasons in the top flight, going up through the play-offs in 2000 and remarkably finishing fifth in the Premier League in their first campaign, before suffering relegation the following year.

YOU might know Abubakar Salim for that raunchy silver suit in Raised By Wolves, or his emotional reveal at The Game Awards 2023.

Salim may be better known for his acting roles, but he has recently set up a game studio hoping to honour his father in a story about grief.

Kenzera shines by mixing the gameplay into the story's themes[/caption]

Going into Tales of Kenzera: Zau, you might be concerned that a story about the death of a parent would be a downer to put things lightly.

Reminding players of the inevitability of losing a loved one can be hard, and it's not as if Zau is devoid of unwanted emotions.

However, it doesn't make you fell down, and instead helps you become more comfortable with the concept of death.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau is about those who are left behind when a loved one dies, and it addresses its themes through both metaphor and straightforward storytelling.

Our protagonist Zau is suffering after the loss of his father and makes a deal with death to bring him back if he reclaims three other souls along the way.

As a shaman, Zau's job is to heal, and when the world around him is crumbling, he's the only person left to heal.

He's not only dealing with the loss of his father but the loss of the world around him, and it's a lot of pressure.

Like many people suffering from grief, Zau throws himself into the task in the hopes that he can fix things.

He may live in a magical world full of spirits, but Zau tells a very personal and human story.

We see Zau help the others around him with their grief, while avoiding his own. He tries desperately to avoid what is inevitable.

With a heavy story, it would be easy to forgive lacklustre gameplay, but Zau adds a handful of great mechanics and builds on them well.

Most metroidvanias lock exploration skills in hidden corners around the map, but Zau gives you everything from the start and lets you go wild.

Your growth doesn't come from unlocking new abilities but from becoming more skilled at the ones you have.

There are upgrades, but these only add layers to your already robust options.

Upgrading your skills is done through improving yourself, a mechanic that weaves excellently into the story.

Combat does get repetitive in the latter half. While there are plenty of enemy types, once you settle into the gameplay not much challenges you.

Even in these moments it's hard to deny the beauty of Kenzera, and we never grew tired of the world or the story.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau breaks many of the conventions of your typical metroidvania by focusing on the story more than the exploration.

But it's a short experience that will hit you in the heart with a tale of love, loss, grief and acceptance.
