Manchester United midfielder Casemiro made two costly errors during the first half of Sunday's game against Liverpool. The former Real Madrid star surrendered possession with a loose pass 10 seconds before Luis Diaz headed Liverpool 1-0 up in the 35th minute. Casemiro was then tackled by Diaz moments before the Colombian made it 2-0 seven minutes later, and the former Real Madrid man was taken off at half time by manager Erik ten Hag.

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has labelled Dan Burn's own-goal against Tottenham as 'comical'. Newcastle continued their bright start to the season with a 2-1 win over Ange Postecoglou's men at St James' Park. However, Burn suffered misfortune as he found the roof of his own-net in the 56th minute after Harvey Barnes had opened the scoring. Fortunately for the defender, Alexander Isak went on to score the winner with 12 minutes remaining to spare his blushes.
