Boris Becker has slammed a player at the US Open for her 'terrible behaviour' towards a ball girl. Yulia Putintseva's frustration was evident during her US Open third-round defeat against Jasmine Paolini. With the Kazakhstan player losing the first-set and going 4-2 down in the second, there was an ugly moment when a ball girl attempted to throw balls towards her before she took serve. Putintseva stared at the ball girl blankly with her arms down by her side, making no effort to catch the balls and instead just looking at them as they rolled away from her feet.

Women's football match is postponed after outrage over team signing a 34-year-old transgender goalkeeper, who was chosen by the league's first ever trans manager
Sutton United's away game at Ebbsfleet in the London and South East Regional Women's League was postponed on Sunday amid controversy centred on a transgender goalkeeper. The game, which had been scheduled to kick-off at 2pm, was called off after Sutton sent an email to their opponents at 11.12am informing them of their inability to field a team. Sunday's postponement came a week after Sutton boss Lucy Clark - who is the first transgender manager in the top five tiers of women's football in England - signed 34-year-old transgender goalkeeper Blair Hamilton.

Casemiro's wife has leapt to her husband's defence after the Manchester United midfielder was widely criticised for his performance in his side's 3-0 defeat by Liverpool on Sunday. The Brazilian star was at fault for Liverpool's first two goals as he gave the ball away twice before Luis Diaz punished him on both occasions. Sky Sports co-commentator Jamie Carragher admitted it was a 'sad sight' to see Casemiro struggling so badly, and he was hauled off at half-time by Erik ten Hag, with youngster Toby Collyer replacing him.
