This week, Dropout gave fans what they asked for: a chance to pay more for the comedy streaming service.

Back in April, Dropout CEO Sam Reich announced that the streaming service born out of CollegeHumor would increase its price by $1 — going from a $5.99-per-month to $6.99-per-month offering. While the majority of streaming service price increases go over poorly with customers, this one had a surprising effect. There were many, many Dropout fans offering to pay the platform even more money for no additional return, just because they want to see Dropout continue to thrive.

Last week, Reich and co. said, "your wish is our command," with announcement of a higher-priced "Superfan" tier on Dropout. It costs $129.99 annually (reduced to $97.49 for your first year) compared to the $69.99 annual price of a Dropout subscription.

While Reich tells Variety the internal plan at Dropout is to try not to raise the base price of the streaming service by more than $1 each year, the extra funds that could come from these self-proclaimed superfans who seemingly just want to give Dropout more of their money will help fuel continued growth at no additional cost to the average Dropout customer. And that growth is still small, but mighty.

To date, Dropout says it boasts more than one million subscribers. From 2024 to 2025, subscribers rose by 31%. And the most recent season of "Game Changer" saw Dropout's most-watched episode ever with the Season 7 premiere, "One Year Later," reaching one million views over its first two weeks of release in April.

Currently, Dropout has a staff of approximately 40 employees and counting compared to the more than 100 staffers that worked at CollegeHumor before it was shuttered (and then quickly revived by CollegeHumor survivor Reich.)

Here, Reich speaks with Variety (with a "super gravely" voice because he had been "shooting 'Game Changer' for six out of the last eight days") about the launch of the "Superfan" tier and the future of Dropout.

When did you start talking about the idea of a "Superfan" tier? How did it relate to the price increase you announced for the main Dropout subscription in April?

Conversations about this began eight or nine months before that original price change [announcement] video, because that drum beat of fans saying, "We'd like to pay you more money," was something that we wanted to start paying attention to.

As I'm running a business, I'm not in that rapid growth mindset all the time. But over time, you do have to pay people more every year. I suppose you don't have to. I think if you're a good business, you do. I think people expect to be treated a little better over time. And we are getting more ambitious with what Dropout content is. Both the shows themselves are becoming more ambitious and we're wanting to venture into more ambitious types of programming. So at the same time as we've almost deliberately hamstrung the cost of subscription. Now, the conversation we're having internally is, let's really try not to raise it by more than a buck a year, if we can.

We are sort of an odd duck in the sense that we are one part subscription platform, like Netflix — if I'm flattering us, but maybe we're more like Shudder or Crunchyroll; a niche subscription. And on the other hand, we're also kind of Patreon, because we're a group of personalities that people love. And this idea of a higher-tier subscription was something that we were eager to try, if we could, but it wasn't clear that Vimeo, who's our tech partner, could support it. So we started talking to Vimeo, we started building out the feature, we started imagining what the "Superfan" experience would be like, and then we released the price hike video. And that was overwhelmingly the response we got to it. And then the fire really kicked in. So we had something in development, and then we're like, now we really need to see this thing through.

How did you decide what the "Superfan" tier subscribers will receive vs. the regular tier of Dropout customers?

There's a bit of a sliding scale. On one side of that scale would be stuff like exclusive video content; that would arguably be the biggest lure of all. The other side would be absolutely nothing. We've probably landed like two-thirds of the way toward nothing.

What people are getting is exclusive merch, merch related discounts. They are getting early access to live-show ticket sales, and they're getting access to this behind-the-scenes experience, which we've undersold a little bit, but is actually pretty cool and interesting. And we have new editorial support that's full time at the company to help us fulfill upon that. And we're excited about what that can become.

What's tricky about this kind of thing is it is most important for us to communicate to fans that they don't need to do this. In fact, even if they consider themselves "superfans," they don't need to do it. They're not going to miss out on video content. And video content in the sense of, the core promise we've made to Dropout fans, which is, you pay X number of dollars and you get back our video content in return, we are still fulfilling on that promise. So no video FOMO. But at the same time, we don't want the experience to be devoid of value and merely a flex for those with disposable income. It can be that, too (laughs). But we want to give them something that in return for their hard-earned dollars. And so we've settled upon this for the time being.

And, have we gotten the mix exactly right? I imagine we'll experiment a little bit more and find exactly what the right mix of value is in order to attract people to this tier without feeling like we're alienating the core subscribers. But I think it was the right way to launch.

In the "Superfan" announcement video, you hinted that this additional revenue stream will in part go towards Dropout's plans to expand into scripted and animated content. Where are you on those kinds of projects right now?

Things are in the works, things are in the works. I would say, regardless of the format, regardless of if you call it scripted or animation, or what you call it, we are just getting a little bit more ambitious with our new programming in general. And that also applies to the quote, unquote unscripted category.

Can you really call "Game Changer" and "Dimension 20" unscripted shows? They're sort of semi-scripted shows. I think the thing that we do best, arguably, as Dropout is we sort of format break. We do things that are really non-traditional. So I'm not sure that there's a world where we even do scripted or animation, and they're fully that. But the the ambition of Dropout shows is increasing as we have a little bit more budget to flex. It allows us to do some things that we think are even more novel, and that's really exciting. Forever and ever, our budgets essentially stipulated that we batch shoot unscripted in a studio space, and now we can start coloring outside the lines a little bit. The "Fool's Gold" episode of "Game Changer" was almost an example of this. It just means that we can do more outside the studio.

You announced both the "Superfan" tier and, earlier this year, the general price increase yourself via social media, rather than through a press release or telling media outlets in advance. How did you make that choice and how are you balancing Dropout's direct communication with fans vs. press as the company grows?

The direct line to fans is important, and it's partially to do with being creatures of the internet and respecting that we're creatures of the internet. We have a pulpit from which to broadcast from, but genuinely, genuinely, press is now increasingly important, too. Press is important first and foremost, as it relates to legitimacy, but then legitimacy sort of connects to this idea of scale. When we ask ourselves, what is the ceiling for Dropout and who are Dropout's customers? I'm convinced that the audience for comedy is massive, even in just the United States alone, and that our cap as a company is greater than 5x away or 10x away. I think we could grow to 5 million subscribers or 10 million subscribers. But those are people who, right now, do not see us as very legitimate, who don't see the offering as legitimate. So how do you convince those people to subscribe? And I think press is a big part of how.

- The exchange happened while they watched *Fatal Attraction* together for the first time.

- Kardashian previously revealed to Close that she'd never seen the movie.

Glenn Close's Hollywood secrets aren't going to be ignored by Kim Kardashian.

After admitting on the season premiere of *The Kardashians* reality show that she had never seen *Fatal Attraction*, the businesswoman, socialite, and upcoming *All's Fair* star revealed what happened at a watch party for the iconic thriller film she attended alongside fellow *All's Fair* actresses — including Close.

"We had a little sleepover. It was really fun," Kardashian said Tuesday on *The View*, as she sat for an interview alongside Niecy Nash and Teyana Taylor.

Kardashian said that "the night started off with some drinks," which led to an even livelier evening than she expected.

"Let me tell you, Glenn was wasted," Kardashian remembered. "So, she was spilling every tea!"

Nash cut in to tell the cohosts that the *All's Fair* ensemble now knows "all the backstories" of the Hollywood film — some of which Kardashian spoke about on the air.

- Aileen Wuornos murdered at least six men between 1989 and 1990.

- At the time, she engaged in sex work to support herself and her girlfriend, Tyria Moore.

- Moore was instrumental in getting Wuornos to confess to her crimes.

Aileen Wuornos was convicted of murdering six men in Florida between 1989 and 1990. During that time, Wuornos was working as a prostitute to support both herself and her girlfriend, Tyria Moore.

Moore was never implicated in the murders, and she has always insisted she played no part in them. She was, however, instrumental in helping police build a case against Wuornos, who was eventually sentenced to death.

Now, Wuornos' story and her relationship with her ex-girlfriend is back in the spotlight thanks to a new Netflix documentary, *Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers*. Here's everything we know about Tyria Moore and where she is now.

Who is Tyria Moore?

Wuornos and Moore reportedly came from *very *different worlds. The serial killer was abandoned by her mother and endured a traumatic childhood, which ultimately led to her getting pregnant at 13, dropping out of school, and hitchhiking across the country. As for Moore, a 1991 report in the *South Florida Sun-Sentinel* says she grew up in Cadiz, Ohio, and was raised in a middle-class family.

In 1986, they crossed paths at a gay bar called Zodiac in South Daytona, Fla. Wuornos and Moore, who was in her 20s at the time, hit it off and started dating. They soon moved in together, bouncing between motels and trailers.

"We became lovers, and it later turned into a sister-like relationship," Moore told police, according to the outlet. For her part, Wuornos reportedly described Moore as "the love of my life" and would even tell people Moore was her wife. She allegedly threatened to kill anyone who bothered Tyria.

In *Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers*, previously unseen jailhouse footage shows Wuornos gushing about Moore. Wuornos said she loved Moore and carried a gun to protect herself so she could stay alive and have "another day breathing with her."

Money was tight throughout their relationship. Moore sometimes worked as a maid, but Wuornos was the main provider, relying on sex work to make ends meet.

"The problem was I wasn't supporting her as richly as she wanted," Wuornos reportedly told police. "She always wanted a brand-new car or a rented one. She wanted clothes, she wanted an apartment with plush furniture."

Did Moore play a role in Wuornos' confession?

Aileen Wuornos in court via 'Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers'

Aileen Wuornos in court, as seen in 'Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers'.

Yes, she did. Over time, Moore became suspicious of Wuornos, eventually breaking up with her and moving back to Ohio. Investigators contacted Moore in late 1990 after linking Wuornos to a string of murders, hoping she could help them get a confession. She agreed.

Across several phone conversations with Moore, Wuornos confessed to the murders of multiple men. According to PEOPLE, Wuornos told her, "I'm not gonna let you go to jail. Ty, I love you. If I have to confess everything just to keep you from getting in trouble, I will."**

Did Moore testify against Wuornos?

Aileen Wuornos testifying in court via 'Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers'

Aileen Wuornos testifying in court, as seen in 'Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers'.

Yes, and Moore ultimately played a pivotal role in Wuornos' 1992 trial for the murder of 51-year-old Robert Mallory. On the stand, Moore revealed that Wuornos had previously told her she shot Mallory to death while the pair were watching TV.

"I didn't believe it," Moore said, per United Press International. "I know I didn't like to hear about her work (prostitution). So I'm sure I didn't want to hear something like that."

Wuornos claimed she killed Mallory in self-defense after he raped her, but Moore testified that there was no mention of an attack.

A jury found Wuornos guilty of Mallory's murder. She later pled no contest or guilty to five additional murders. Ultimately, she was convicted of six counts of first-degree murder and sentenced to death. Wuornos was executed by lethal injection in October 2002, according to a *New York Times *obituary.**

Where is Tyria Moore now?

After testifying against her ex-girlfriend, Moore largely vanished from the public eye. She has since stayed silent about the case and avoided any and all public appearances.

Christina Ricci appeared as Selby Wall, a fictionalized version of Moore, in the 2003 film *Monster*, which explores Wuornos's life and crimes.

Lamar Jackson's return was just what the Baltimore Ravens were hoping for, and now they can be taken seriously again as contenders.

The Ravens were awfully close to being written off as recently as last weekend, when Jackson was still out for a game against Chicago and Baltimore was facing the possibility of a 1-6 record. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley played well enough to win that game, and then Jackson returned from his hamstring injury and threw four touchdown passes in a 28-6 victory at Miami on Thursday night.

"They were absolute must-wins, both of those two games. For our guys to step up the way they did, and to step out the way they did, and play the kind of football they did with their backs to the wall — on the canvas — and to get back up and do what they did, is commendable," coach John Harbaugh said. "It just means we're two games under .500. That's all it means, but we're two games under .500. We were four games under .500."

The Ravens (3-5) continue to creep up on AFC North-leading Pittsburgh (4-3), which faces NFL-leading Indianapolis (7-1) this weekend.

Baltimore's next four opponents, meanwhile, are a combined 9-22.

About a month ago the Ravens took the field without Jackson, linebacker Roquan Smith, safety Kyle Hamilton, cornerback Marlon Humphrey, tackle Ronnie Stanley and fullback Patrick Ricard. All four of their All-Pros from last season were unavailable.

The situation looks a lot less bleak now.

"Usually, we start off winning games," Jackson said. "But right now, we're behind, and we all have to step it up."

What's working

The Ravens have scored 139 points in the four full games when Jackson was healthy. His passer rating is 136.7, and there's no shortage of players to throw to.

Baltimore's three tight ends — Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar — combined for seven catches for 105 yards and three touchdowns Thursday night.

"Just a matter of getting them the ball, and we were able to get them the ball on play action a number of times behind the linebackers, which was big for us. All three of those guys," Harbaugh said. "We want to be able to spread it around and go to everybody."

Wideout Zay Flowers is third in the AFC with 550 yards receiving.

What needs help

Baltimore hasn't been great on the line of scrimmage, offensively or defensively. Derrick Henry is on pace for well over 1,000 yards rushing, but there have been times the Ravens have tried and failed to take control of games by running the ball. Short-yardage situations have been surprisingly problematic for them.

Defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike is one injured player Baltimore hasn't gotten back. He's out for the season because of a neck problem, and the Ravens have felt his absence both against the run and in the pass rush.

But Baltimore may have played well enough these past two weeks to give the front office a reason to be aggressive looking for help at the trade deadline.

Stock up

Jordan Stout is averaging 46 net yards per punt, ranking second in the league. He's had some important kicks, like the one that pinned Chicago back inside the 5 when the Ravens were trying to protect a fourth-quarter lead last weekend.

Stock down

Rashod Bateman is one receiver who hasn't gotten the ball as much as Baltimore has spread it around. After 45 catches last season, he has only 15 in 2025, although he did reach the end zone against Miami.

Injuries

Although every cornerstone player besides Madubuike is back now, Stanley's ankle remains a concern given the injury problems he's had through his career. He's only missed one full game, but it's been touch and go even when he's been available, and his effectiveness is crucial.

Key number

The Ravens are plus-6 in turnover margin in their three victories and minus-9 in the five defeats. If they're able to make it back to the postseason, they still have to show they can avoid game-changing mistakes against top competition.

Next steps

The Ravens now get a bit of a break before two more road games, against Minnesota on Nov. 9 and Cleveland on Nov. 16.

Week 9 of the NFL season began with a dominant performance by the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, beating the Miami Dolphins 28-6 on the road as 7.5-point favorites.

What will the rest of the weekend have in store for bettors?

Our NFL handicapping team of Ed Feng, Michael Fiddle and Matt Jacob combine to give their best bets for Week 9 of the NFL season. This article will be throughout the weekend.

Odds courtesy of BetMGM and are subject to change.

Chicago Bears (-2.5, 51) at Cincinnati Bengals

Fiddle: The best line remaining on the entire NFL card is in this game. The Bengals have one of the weakest defenses in the NFL, and star defensive end Trey Hendrickson is listed as doubtful. The Bears will be ready to capitalize, especially after a bad loss last week against the improving Ravens. Chicago has the seventh-fewest turnovers, the 12th-most yards gained and are balanced, ranking 10th in the league both in passing and rushing yards. The market has sided with the Bears and I resoundingly agree.

Joe Flacco is also dealing with an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder and while he is likely to play through it, his effectiveness should decrease. This line shouldn't get out to -3 unless the Flacco news changes, so I like the Bears at any number before kickoff.

Bet: Bears -2.5

Los Angeles Chargers (-9.5, 43.5) at Tennessee Titans

Jacob: To say the Titans haven't done much right the last few seasons is akin to saying water is wet. Tennessee has now lost 32 of 42 games since the start of the 2023 campaign (including seven of eight this season).

One positive this year's Titans squad can cling to: The secondary has been pretty decent. In fact, that unit is surrendering just 215.8 yards per game. The defense has been particularly solid against tight ends.

To that point, the 53 yards that prized Colts rookie Tyler Warren racked up last week are the most Tennessee has surrendered to a tight end this year. (The Titans held Warren to just 38 yards in the first meeting.)

Now here comes another standout rookie in the Chargers' Oronde Gadsden II, who began the season with a whimper (total of eight catches and 76 yards in the first five games) but has since exploded (68, 164 and 77 yards the last three weeks).

Gadsden very well may prove to be the dynamic tight end the Bolts have been searching for since Antonio Gates retired. But I'm betting the Titans throw some cold water on him Sunday — in part because Gadsden is now a known quantity and in part because the Chargers probably won't have to put the ball in the air a lot to leave Tennessee with a "W."

Bet: Gadsden under 47.5 receiving yards (-110)

Atlanta Falcons at New England Patriots (-5.5, 45)

Feng: Drake Maye has been fantastic for New England at the most important position in football. However, a team also has to play defense, and the Patriots defense has been awful (31st in my adjusted yards per pass attempt). The defense has been so bad that it drags down New England to NFL average despite the brilliance of Maye.

[Yahoo Sports TV is here! Watch live shows and highlights 24/7]

My best numbers have New England by 1.4 points, assuming Michael Penix Jr. plays for the Falcons. Betting Atlanta might be the easiest win of the season, as they have double-digit wins over Buffalo and Minnesota. Or betting Atlanta might make me look really dumb, as they have awful losses to Carolina and Miami. Still, there is value if Penix plays.

Bet: Atlanta +5.5

Fiddle: The Falcons are coming off a miserable game against the Miami Dolphins. They got behind early and game script was heavily against them with Kirk Cousins having to helm the team at QB. We should get the return of Penix, and the injury news that has emerged is on backup RB Tyler Allgeier, who sees very solid usage.

Early in the season the Falcons were hesitant to put a ton of usage on Bijan Robinson's plate, because they had a two-headed backfield and a long season ahead. That creates a buypoint now being at the midway point, off a bad loss, with the backup dinged up. Bijan Robinson will have a heavy workload this week. Take his over on carries.

Bet: Bijan Robinson over 15.5 rush attempts (-105)

Jacksonville Jaguars (-2.5, 44) at Las Vegas Raiders

Jacob: The Jaguars certainly aren't without flaws, as we saw in their two most recent games (a 20-12 home setback to the Seahawks, followed by an ugly 35-7 loss to the Rams in London).

Then again, this is the same Jacksonville squad that preceded those defeats with three straight impressive wins over Houston, San Francisco and Kansas City (the latter two being outright upsets).

What about the Raiders? They opened with a 20-13 road upset of New England, but their only victory since came against the now 1-7 Titans. Bookending the 20-10 triumph over Tennessee: losses to the Colts and Chiefs by a combined score of 71-6.

Both teams are coming off byes. Las Vegas is 1-7 SU and 1-6-1 ATS following a bye since 2017, with the offense averaging just 16.4 points in the seven losses. Jacksonville hasn't been any better post-bye (2-6 SU, 4-3-1 ATS).

However, the Jags are far better than Las Vegas this season — especially offensively, averaging a tick under 21 points and 335 yards per game. Conversely, the Raiders have scored the second-fewest points in the NFL (14.7 per game) and gained the third-fewest yards (276.4 per outing).

Bet: Jaguars -2.5

New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Rams (-14, 44)

Feng: New Orleans has decided to go with 26-year-old rookie Tyler Shough at QB. He faces an excellent Rams pass defense that ranks second in success rate after my algorithms adjust for opposing QBs. Shough has to deal with the elite pass rush duo of Jared Verse and Byron Young. I'd project 172.3 passing yards if Spencer Rattler were starting, and I expect Shough to be worse.

Bet: Shough under 190.5 passing yards

Kansas City Chiefs (-2, 52.5) at Buffalo Bills

Feng: Josh Allen has a solid 2% interception rate this season with only four interceptions. However, there are some troubling signs, as I have found that looking at the sum of interceptions and passes defended are a better way of predicting future interceptions. I call this sum "bad balls," and Allen's bad-ball rate of 15.1% this season has been worse than the NFL average of 12.1%. I still use Allen's data from prior seasons, but my model predicts a 48.3% chance Allen throws a pick in a competitive game against Kansas City. The break-even percentage for this price is 45.5%.

Bet: Allen over 0.5 interceptions (+120)

Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys (-3, 53.5)

Jacob: The second-most prolific offense in the league: Dallas (30.8 points per game). The second-leakiest defense in the league: Dallas (31.2 PPG).

Now you know why the Cowboys' last five games (and six of the last seven) have gone over the closing total. Also, here are the combined scores of the three games played at AT&T Stadium this season: 40-37 (Giants), 40-40 (Packers) and 44-22 (Commanders).

As impressive as Dallas' full-game over streak has been, the team's first-half over results are even more mind-blowing. Fact: The Cowboys and their opponents have cleared the first-half total in every game this season.

The lowest-scoring first half of the bunch: Giants 13, Cowboys 10 in Week 2. The halftime score in Dallas' last three contests: 17-13 (at Carolina), 27-15 (vs. Washington) and 27-10 (at Denver).

Meanwhile, Arizona and its opponents are averaging 23.3 combined first-half points in the last three games. That won't be enough to cash the first-half over Monday night. Of course, none of those games involved the second-best scoring offense and second-best scoring defense, as this one will.

Bet: Total first-half points over 26.5 (-125)

Alongside Ross Matthews and Valerie Bertinelli, the talk show host shared why the spooky day is her favorite, while also dressed in a costume nodding to her past role in Grey Gardens, which earned her a Golden Globe in 2010

According to Drew Barrymore, Halloween is the one day on the calendar where you can a little freaky.

The Drew Barrymore Show filmed its annual Halloween special with the television host, Ross Matthews and Valerie Bertinelli — the trio didn't hold back on their love for the Oct. 31 holiday, which happens to be Barrymore's favorite of the bunch.

"There's no attachments. There's no baggage. It's not like, 'Oh boo hoo, I don't have family and it's the holidays,' you know," Barrymore, 50, explained, while Matthews added that receiving candy is a plus.

"Also, you get to be the freak that you are and that's celebrated," continued the 50 First Dates star. "I wish every day was Halloween because it's just a positive holiday."

The three then asked audience members to guess each of their costumes: Bertinelli as Hagrid from the Harry Potter franchise, Matthews as "Pink Pony Club" inspired by Chappell Roan's hit song of the same name and Barrymore as "Grey Gardens," appearing to nod to her Golden Globe-winning role as Edie "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale.

In 2009, Barrymore starred in HBO's Grey Gardens that was inspired by the secluded life of Little Edie and her mother, Edith "Big Edie" Bouvier Beale (played by Jessica Lange), who was also the aunt of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

The mother-daughter duo were most famous for their secluded life in their decrepit East Hamptons, N.Y., estate called Grey Gardens and were the subjects of a 1975 documentary made by Albert and David Maysles. Michael Sucsy's 2000s interpretation of the famous story earned accolades, including Best Picture Made for Television at the 2010 Critics Choice Awards and Best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television that same year. Barrymore took home a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television.

In years past, Barrymore has gone above and beyond with her costumes. In 2023, she underwent a dramatic transformation into Bob Ross and in 2024 embraced her Scream past in a Queen of Halloween costume fitting for that year's guest Mariah Carey (aka the Queen of Christmas).

The Drew Barrymore Show airs weekdays on CBS (check local listings).

In an Oct. 31 Instagram post, Fox called the pink suit Jackie was wearing when her husband President John F. Kennedy was assassinated a "haunting juxtaposition"

When Fox stepped out in the costume on Oct. 30, she drew backlash for the look being "insensitive"

Julia Fox is holding her ground.

The model and author, 35, took to Instagram on Oct. 31 to defend the controversial Halloween costume she wore to Julio Torres' party on Oct. 30. For the evening, she stepped out in a pink skirt suit that was covered in blood. She wore white gloves and a pink pillbox hat to complete the Jackie Kennedy inspired costume.

Fox's pink suit was very similar to the double-breasted wool suit the then-first lady was wearing on Nov. 22, 1963, when her husband, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas.

Her controversial look drew immediate backlash for being "insensitive," as many wrote on social media. However, Fox is doubling down on the costume, as she shared in her Instagram post.

Alongside two photos of herself wearing the look, Fox wrote, "I'm dressed as Jackie Kennedy in the pink suit. Not as a costume, but as a statement. When her husband was assassinated, she refused to change out of her blood-stained clothes, saying, 'I want them to see what they've done.' The image of the delicate pink suit splattered with blood is one of the most haunting juxtapositions in modern history. Beauty and horror. Poise and devastation."

Fox concluded, "Her decision not to change clothes, even after being encouraged to, was an act of extraordinary bravery. It was performance, protest, and mourning all at once. A woman weaponizing image and grace to expose brutality. It's about trauma, power, and how femininity itself is a form of resistance. Long live Jackie O."

Followers commented on her post, agreeing with her statement about Jackie, who died in 1994 at the age of 64. Some commenters called it powerful, while others simply left hearts and other supportive emojis.

Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of JFK and Jackie, shared his own reaction to Fox's costume. On Oct. 31, he wrote on X, "Julia Fox glorifying political violence is disgusting, desperate and dangerous. I'm sure her late grandmother would agree."

Many people in his replies agreed with his statement, calling Fox's look "disrespectful," while some others shared her Instagram post in defense.

According to The New York Times, Jackie's pink suit, her shoes, handbag and stockings from that day were reportedly "blood-covered and folded in a towel" following the fatal shooting.

The items are preserved at the National Archives and Records Administration's facility in College Park, Md. According to the Los Angeles Times, Jackie's maid, Providencia Paredes, placed the outfit in a bag but did not have it cleaned following the shooting. It was sent in its bloodied condition to the National Archives sometime before July 1964.

Jackie was photographed in the outfit next to Lyndon B. Johnson in the immediate aftermath of JFK's death. Johnson, who was then vice president, became president following Kennedy's death.

"They actually had another dress laid out for her to put on and she refused," historian Steve Gillon told PEOPLE in November 2022.

"She went out in her blood-stained suit and stood next to Lyndon Johnson. Despite these horrible circumstances, she was willing to stand for a photo because she understood what it meant for the nation to have continuity in government," he said. "She understood that she had a role to play in helping the nation transition to a new president."
