'Seriously injured' woman airlifted from remote Scots town as cops arrest man | 661PZVE | 2024-05-05 06:08:01
A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital after being found seriously injured as a man was arrested and charged by cops in a remote Scots town.
Emergency services raced to the property in Dunoon at around 6pm on Thursday.
The alleged incident took place in Queens Court, Dunoon[/caption]A 35-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by air ambulance after being discovered at the Argyll and Bute town's Queens Court.
Cops have confirmed a 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident.
He is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, May 6.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a 35-year-old woman was found seriously injured at a property in Queens Court, Dunoon, around 6pm on Thursday, 2 May, 2024.
"The woman was taken by air ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
"The 37-year-old man is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, 6 May, 2024."
Elsewhere, we told how an OAP has died after he was found injured in a Scots street.
Emergency services raced to the scene on Stonelaw Road in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, on Wednesday.
Mercy crews were called to the area around 6.40am.

When they arrived the elderly man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Cops have since locked down the area as they launch a probe into the tragedy.
Officers say the death is currently being treated as "unexplained".
