Brentford are giving a trial to former Southampton midfielder Stuart Armstrong, 32, who is a free agent and played in their friendly against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday. Armstrong featured in the second half as Brentford won 5-2 against AFC Wimbledon. Joe Lewis put Wimbledon in front early on but new signing Igor Thiago scored twice for Brentford, with Yoane Wissa also netting a penalty. Kevin Schade and Bryan Mbeumo scored in the second half as Brentford extended their lead.
