Novak Djokovic advanced to the third round of the men's singles tennis tournament at the Olympic Games following a straight sets win over his old rival Rafael Nadal. The record-Grand Slam winner is in search of the only piece of silverware missing from his trophy cabinet and he made short work of Nadal in the opening set at Roland Garros. The event has been the scene for Nadal's 14 French Open wins and, in what is expected to be his final appearance on the Paris clay, fans were hopeful of seeing a fairytale run.
