Star jockey William Pike has been ruled out of the remainded of this week's Ascot Racing Carnival after breaking his wrist in an E-scooter accident. The Australian had previously been ruled out of action at the start of the 2024 season after he had suffered a fractured heel after he had been working on the track. Pike was due to climb aboard Western Empire for Saturday's Sport-Gold Rush race, with the G&A Williams-trained horse coming into the race as a favourite.
