Aston Vila's owner Nassef Sawiris, Egypt's richest man, is reportedly considering leaving behind the UK. Sawiris bought a 55 per cent controlling stake in Villa in 2018 alongside fellow billionaire Wes Edens when the club was in the Championship. Living in London, he is sometimes seen attending away games when Villa are playing in the capital. In December 2023 he announced his intentions to 'redomicile' his NNS Group family offices from London to Abu Dhabi Global Market's (ADGM) international finance centre.
