Brendan Rodgers wants to see the winter break brought back for the sake of players and supporters. Celtic's game against Ross County in Dingwall this lunchtime is their fourth of nine matches in January — and comes on the back of the seven games they played in December. Scottish football dispensed with the 19-day breather it had last New Year, partly as a consequence of changes to the Champions League and Europa League which see participating teams play at least two more matches.
