Jamel Herring, the former boxer who served on two tours to Iraq, has been arrested in Ohio for alleged misdemeanor domestic violence and assault. The 39-year-old, who retired from boxing in May 2022, was booked into Warren County Jail and records show that he had bail at $50,000 for assault and $75,000 for domestic violence. His next court date is slated for Jan. 21. Herring, who won the WBO junior lightweight title in May 2019, served two tours in Iraq before returning in 2007 and going into boxing.
