Newcastle United midfielder Miguel Almiron is in talks over an £8million return to his former club Atlanta United. Almiron joined Newcastle from Atlanta for a then-club record fee of £21m in January 2019. Now, six years on, he could be set to go back to the club where he made his name. Mail Sport revealed last month that there has been interest in Almiron from several overseas club. Brazilian teams Santos, Palmeiras and Sao Paulo have all been monitoring his situation, while Olympiacos and MLS side Charlotte FC have also enquired about Almiron's availability.
