Dan Skelton is hoping Protektorat will deliver an emotional victory at Cheltenham next month as he prepares to send his best ever team to the Festival. Though Kempton stages a competitive card on Saturday afternoon with a number of informative races, not least the Ladbrokes Chase (3.35), all eyes are being drawn to Cheltenham, with the four-day extravaganza beginning on March 11. Skelton, who is chipping away at his ambition to become champion trainer for the first time, believes The New Lion carries the strongest potential to win at Cheltenham and he will face Final Demand, the hot favourite from Willie Mullins's yard, in the Turners Novices' Hurdle.
