Leading cricket commentator Mark 'Howie' Howard has lashed a decision to cancel cricket matches in Victoria because the weather is too hot. The media personality was left stunned that the summer sport, traditionally played during the hottest months of the year, was put on ice because the mercury had soared too high. Howard lives on the Bellarine Peninsula, south of Melbourne and close to the regional city of Geelong, where local cricket clubs have been told to pack up their kit bags and go home on Saturday.
