Brock Purdy takes brutal swipe at former San Francisco 49ers teammate
Brock Purdy went out of his way to make a brutal dig at the expense of former San Francisco 49ers teammate Jimmy Garoppolo. Purdy and Garoppolo were both quarterbacks on the 49ers during the 2022 season, in competition for playing time. Trey Lance started the season as San Francisco's starting quarterback, with an injury quickly giving way to Garoppolo. It was not a guarantee Purdy would even make the team out of training camp, as he had to beat Nate Sudfeld for a roster spot.
