France star avoids red card for FLYING HEADBUTT in win over Scotland as Les Bleus deny England in their bid for Six Nations glory
Peato Mauvaka was lucky to avoid a red card in France's 35-16 win over Scotland in their Six Nations finale, after the hooker lunged head first into Ben White's face. The 112kg forward lashed out at Scotland's 88kg scrum-half in the 20th minute, as he laid on the ground after France were awarded a penalty. Mauvaka was shown a yellow card by referee Matthew Carley, who assessed replays of the incident, then referred it to the bunker to see if the card would be upgraded.
