Being a mom is a tough task for felines as well. This is especially true when they have mischievous babies. A recent social media post has captured this instance. The video shows a mama Abyssinian cat, Malta, worried about her curious kitten.
A user named @barcelona_the_aby_cat took to their Instagram to share this funny moment. The page covers the adventures of an Abyssinian cat family.
Mama cat’s quiet watch over the litter becomes a search for one curious kitten
In the video, the mama cat looks for her missing, curious kitten. It begins with Malta keeping an eye on her babies. Two kittens are cuddling with her to enjoy the warmth of her fur. Meanwhile, the other two are playing near the table, with the mother keeping a sharp eye on them. However, the human observes that one of the kittens had different plans.
The kitten quietly slips under the table, leaving her mom surprised. The mama feline finds her child vanished and wonders where she went. She lets out a low growl and goes to the table to retrieve the tiny kitten.
Malta peeks under the table to find the kitten and thinks if he is hiding there. The human feels the cat is telling her daughter, “Come out, sweetheart!” The cat moves her hand under the table to pull out the toddler while another kitten arrives as her backup. Malta has her mouth under the table and suddenly hears the voice of her missing baby. The kitten comes out, and the proud mother leaves as the mission is successful.
Soon, another kitten moves under the table, and Malta resumes her duties again. The video concludes with the mama cat chilling on top of the table, and she feels the two kittens hiding will come out themselves. “Being a mom is a full-time job, especially when your babies discover they can fit into places you can’t! But as Malta would say, sometimes you worry, and sometimes you just have to let go,” the pet parent describes the situation.
