After a rocky six months at the North West side, Skelmersdale announced the departure of Pascal on their social media page.

The club released a statement which said: "On behalf of everyone at Skelmersdale United FC, the club would like to place on record its gratitude to Pascal for all his efforts during his time with the club.

"Pascal joined the club when it was rooted to the bottom of the table, with the aim to resurrect the club's fortunes.

"And whilst there were many memories during his six-month tenure, it didn't quite work out the way either party had anticipated.

"As such the club believe it's time to regroup and seek a new appointment."

Chimbonda was unable to turn things around at the Lancashire club with only eight wins in 34 games.

And the club were relegated from the North West Counties Football League Premier Division after finishing bottom of the table.

Since his arrival at the non-league side, the ex-Tottenham star hit the headlines after an X-rated half-time rant in a 6-0 defeat which saw him unleash 72 swear words.

And Chimbonda was sent off during Skelmersdale's clash with Barnoldswick Town in October, less than a week after joining.

The Frenchman – who played in the 2006 World Cup – was handed a five-game suspension and £50 fine for leaving his technical area after a row.

<!-- End of Brightcove Player -->

It was later reduced to three matches.

Chimbonda then registered himself as a player for the club and made four appearances for his side.

While he might not play anymore the fan favourite dreams of climbing the ladder to become an established EFL boss within the next decade.

Back in his heyday, he made 149 Premier League appearances for Tottenham, Wigan, Blackburn and Sunderland.

He spent two seasons in North London from 2006-2008 and then left for the Black Cats only to return back to Spurs for another term in 2009.

Broz announced his MMA retirement after the brutal loss

But he left behind a professional football career in the third division at 21 to instead focus on MMA.

Now he is one of Germany's top fighters and secured the biggest win of his career against Miroslav Broz in his home of Frankfurt.

Eckerlin completely dominated Broz in the opening round of the Oktagon 57 main-event.

And in the second, he closed the show with some brutal ground and pound which left Broz drenched in blood.

The roof of the Festhalle Frankfurt almost blew off as the home fans went wild for the footballer-turned-fighter.

And it is just a sign of things to come following the announcement that Eckerlin will feature at Oktagon's October 12 show in an all-German showdown.

He will headline against Christian Jungwirth at Frankfurt's 58,000-seat stadium following his victory over Broz.

Eckerlin never got to play at his beloved Frankfurt as a player – but instead he will get his dream fight there.

He told SunSport in Frankfurt: "For me, it's a big dream come true.

"I was a soccer player and always wanted to play for Eintracht Frankfurt in the stadium. I think the first game that I saw, I was six.

"My biggest dream was to play for Eintracht and now I get to fight there. This means everything to me."

FANS have been left fuming after Kai Havertz won a penalty against Bournemouth.

The Arsenal star was brought down by goalkeeper Mark Travers in the first half of their vital Premier League match.

Fans claimed that Havertz left his foot down to initiate contact[/caption]

Bukayo Saka cooly converted the spot-kick by sending Travers the wrong way at the Emirates Stadium.

But fans were not impressed with the way Havertz won the decision.

Many took to social media to claim that the German "knew what he was doing".

It is suggested that the attacker left his foot low to initiate contact with the goalkeeper and get the decision.

One fan posted: "Few players are smart to get these decisions right in their favor.

"Havertz clearly knew what he was doing.

"Said this before. Title challenging three would get soft decisions in their favor most times.

"No ref has the guts to give the right decision here."

A second commented: "On what planet is this a penalty? Embarrassing."

A third wrote: "If this went against Arsenal you'd be screaming corruption."

<!-- End of Brightcove Player -->

A fourth said: "Instead of giving these as penalties, if we're serious about getting rid of simulation, this should be a yellow card for Havertz."

Another added: "Fair play Havertz, but he's played the game there. Deliberately drags his foot.

"VAR is a fucking joke not turning that round. What's the point in it?"

The match is a must-win for the Gunners if they want to win the Premier League.

They need to win all of their remaining games and for Manchester City to drop points.

Leandro Trossard double the lead for the hosts in the second half.

Arsenal then got away with a decision, as Bournemouth believed they had got back into the contest.

Antoine Semenyo fired in but the goal was disallowed as Dominic Solanke was harshly judged to have fouled David Raya moments before.

Declan Rice made sure of the result as he bagged Arsenal's third goal of the game in the 97th minute.

And fans went wild in the stands

Besiktas are battling to qualify for the next season's Europa League and needed a win against Rizespor to keep their fight alive.

A thrilling game was level at 2-2 in the 97th minute – only for Worrall to step up and seal the win.

His shot from a set-piece took a deflection, looped over the goalkeeper and dropped into the back of the net.

Worrall was mobbed by his team-mates like ex-Arsenal and Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

And there were mass celebrations from Besiktas supporters in the stands.

But it was heartbreak for Ex-Prem and now Rizespor ace Jonjo Shelvey.

Worrall captained Forest to promotion from the Championship in 2022.

But since then he has found his game time limited and was even banned from training with the rest of the squad in December.

A deadline day move to Sheffield United collapsed despite Worrall reaching an agreement with the Blades.

And he eventually moved to Besiktas on a short-term deal – yet the Istanbul-based side have the option to make the move permanent in the summer.

Worrall has so far played eight times for the club.

Morris spent four years in the NBA from 2011 to 2015, having stints with the Lakers, 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, LA Clippers, and Memphis Grizzlies.

His cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Morris played college basketball at the University of Michigan from 2009-2011 and is one of five players in school history to have over 200 assists in a season.

The 59-year-old, who stood down as an MP last year, signed up for the gambling giant's commercials, which are known to be edgy.

Its recent ads have featured former England striker Peter Crouch and his model wife Abbey Clancy.

And sources say Boris will perform a cameo in an advert for the Euros, which start in Germany next month.

One told The Sun on Sunday: "Landing a character like Boris as part of their Euros campaign is a huge coup and Paddy Power bosses are super chuffed he decided to go for it.

"The brand is notorious for its comedy, tongue-in-cheek ads so they are planning a shoot to get everyone talking. Boris has a great sense of humour — and now he's out of politics, he is up for having a bit of fun again. It was also a fruitful offer he couldn't refuse."

Boris has previously had a strict stance on gambling.

In January 2020, he led calls for football bosses to scrap a £750million deal selling FA Cup sponsorship rights to betting giants.

Last autumn, we revealed Boris turned down an offer to take part in ITV's I'm A Celeb — a path taken by his former Health Secretary, Matt Hancock.

But since leaving office, the New York-born former MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip in West London has racked up a string of money-spinning deals.

He earned £1.3million from six speaking gigs alone, has a rumoured £1million deal with the Daily Mail and a lucrative book contract with Harper Collins.

Last year, Boris was announced as a six-figure hire for GB News, but has yet to appear on screen on the channel.

A BOY was left "in shock" after he was knocked off his bike by a car that fled the scene yesterday.

The 11-year-old was cycling home from his friends house in Ballybofey, Co Donegal when a car came up behind him and hit his bike.

The boy was cycling home from a friends house in Glen Patrick park when he was knocked off his bike[/caption]

He was travelling towards Glen Patrick park when the car knocked the back wheel off his bike, causing him to fall onto the road.

He was not seriously injured in the horror incident but sustained some painful cuts on his hands and knees after hitting the tarmac.

Speaking to the Nine til Noon Show on HighLand Radio, his mum told how her little boy was "in shock obviously".

She said: "By the time he actually got up, the car was gone.

"The car didn't stop it just drove off and left him lying there."

The worried mum issued an urgent appeal to her friends on social media yesterday, asking for anyone who may have camera footage or a ring doorbell in the area to come forward.

And she told how someone in the area had spotted the car stop just a short distance away after injuring the young lad.

She explained: "Late last night I got a phone call from someone that lives in the park and she said she was in her garden and she seen the car.

"And it actually stopped and it looked like the two of them were having an argument in the car. The car just took off then.

"She said she looked back at her ring doorbell and this happened at 3:46pm at the top of the Glenpatrick estate."

The Irish Sun have contacted An Garda Siochana for a comment.
