Jose Mourinho has claimed he was not contacted by the Football Association about taking the England managerial job before they appointed Thomas Tuchel. The Fenerbahce boss has long been mentioned as a hypothetical option for the Three Lions due to his success in the Premier League, which he has won three times with Chelsea. In fact, he revealed earlier this year that the FA did contact him over taking the post in 2007 but he turned it down before they appointed Fabio Capello.
