Chelsea have confirmed the departure of midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka to Borussia Dortmund on loan deal. The deal includes a buy option higher than his £40m release clause while Dortmund will also cover his salary and pay a loan fee. Porto had hoped to beat the Bundesliga giants to Chukwuemeka, as Manchester City continue to push for their midfielder Nico Gonzalez. Chelsea had wanted him to go to Strasbourg on loan initially to continue his development with Liam Rosenior.
