
Tragedy as man aged in his 40s dies while playing cricket in 41-degree heatwave
A cricketer in his 40s has died during a match that was played in extreme heat in Adelaide last Saturday. Junaid Zafar Khan could not be revived after collapsing on the field at about 4pm during the game at Concordia College Oval, which went ahead with the mercury hitting 41.7 degrees. The Old Concordians' Cricket Club player had fielded for 40 overs and batted for seven before ambulances had to be called to the ground, News Corp reported.
