The WNBA Finals begin on Saturday, October 17th, with the Golden State Valkyries hosting the Atlanta Dream for the first two games of the series.

But the return to Atlanta has garnered major interest from Dream fans, as the get-in price for Game 3 is setting WNBA records.

According to data from ticketing platform TickPick, Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream's first home game in the WNBA Finals is setting records for ticket prices.

As of the time of writing, the current get-in price to attend Game 3 of the WNBA Finals at the State Farm Arena is about $201.

Compare this to last year's WNBA Finals, when the Las Vegas Aces defeated the Phoenix Mercury; the get-in ticket price was just $23.

This means that the Dream's involvement in the WNBA Finals has caused the ticket prices to go up nine times the original amount.

Unsurprisingly, the involvement of Angel Reese is being credited for the surge in ticket prices, given her overwhelming popularity (or notoriety) among WNBA fans.

Reese's trade from the Chicago Sky to the Atlanta Dream has only seemed to add to her popularity within the WNBA.

The reigning WNBA Defensive Player of the Year has been in scintillating form during the playoffs, helping the Dream best the Washington Mystics and New York Liberty en route to her first Finals appearance.

Through the playoffs, Reese has averaged 18.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.2 blocks while shooting 43.3% from the field and 38.5% from beyond the arc.

Her shooting numbers, especially beyond the arc, are a massive improvement from years past. Reese being able to add a reliable three-point shot to her game has made her a very dangerous prospect on the court, with teams no longer being able to leave her open beyond the arc.

For fans of the Dream, Reese's arrival has been a double-edged sword: she has undoubtedly made the team better, but her performances have also made watching the Dream play live an expensive prospect.
