Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has confirmed that he has deactivated his social media accounts as a way to 'concentrate on Ramadan'.
The 21-year-old, who joined United in a £37 million deal from Atalanta in 2021, has barely featured for United this season, making simply three substitute appearances since coming back from a knee damage in December.
On Monday, United fans noticed that Diallo had deleted all references to United on his Instagram page and left just three photographs of his time on loan at Sunderland, which sparked hypothesis over his long-term future at Previous Trafford.
But Diallo, who has now deleted his Instagram page solely, has now responded to United supporters by way of his Snapchat account.
'I deactivated my social media for a month just to concentrate on Ramadan,' Diallo posted on Monday night.
'It's a holy month for me and social media is a spot the place there are dangerous issues to see throughout fasting.
'Cease the hatred, there's nothing fallacious with what I did.'

Diallo was pressured to overlook the beginning of the campaign as a result of a knee damage and has performed just 63 minutes in all competitions since returning at the end of December.
The Ivorian winger thrived during his loan spell at Sunderland within the Championship final season and was tipped to problem for a daily position in Erik ten Hag's squad this term.
