Officers raced to the Legacy Funeral Directors on each Anlaby Street and Hessle Street in Hull at round 3am on Thursday, with locals reporting a heavy police presence at the scene.

Assistant Chief Constable Thom McLoughlin stated cops are shifting bodies from the Hessle Street branch to the local authority's mortuary.

Cordons have since been arrange at three websites and a special telephone line has been launched for "heartbroken and devastated" households who might have considerations.
