Cat Deeley is praising So You Think You Can Dance decide Allison Holker's "healthy" outlook following the dying of her husband, Stephen "tWitch" Boss.

"She's been very, very open about talking about tWitch and I feel that is actually healthy because, in precise reality, the only solution to take a really, terribly devastating thing is to attempt to make it constructive," Deeley, 47, solely informed Us Weekly on Thursday, March 7, whereas discussing season 18 of the dance competitors. "That's the only means you possibly can process that as a human being. What she's achieved is she's turned it around and she or he's like, 'I'm going to speak about it.' And the more these strains of communication are open for everyone, and the more we talk about and the extra we don't cover away, I feel the higher it is for everybody — for everybody's psychological health and everyone watching at house and everyone on the present."

Deeley, who started hosting SYTYCD during season 2 in 2006, further famous that Holker, 36, has dealt with the devastating state of affairs "so superbly."

"We have been speaking about it the opposite day and I stated, 'I have to say you just [have] dealt with your self with poise,'" she recalled.

Where Are the 'So You Think You Can Dance' Alums Now?

Deeley has recognized Holker and Boss since their respective seasons of SYTYCD, which aired in 2006 and 2008. The couple, who wed in 2013, met on season 7 once they have been tapped as "All-Star" mentors for the primary time.

Boss died by suicide at the age of 40 in December 2022. He is survived by Holker and their three youngsters: Weslie, 15, Maddox, 7, and Zaia, three. (Weslie is Holker's daughter from a previous relationship, whom Boss adopted.)

Following Boss' passing, the SYTYCD and dance communities rallied around Holker and her youngsters to assist maintain his reminiscence alive.

"He was all the time just a super charming, tremendous sensible, extremely loving, mild man," Deeley remembered of Boss, noting she has "so many" reminiscences with him. "He was all the time an enormous sweater, and I might say that, too. He'd come off stage and he'd be soaking wet and he'd be like, 'No, no, I'm not going to hug you. I'm not going to.' I'm like, 'Come on, convey it in, convey it in.'"

A separate memorable encounter occurred after Deeley watched his competitive solo routine to Midnight Touch's "Midas Touch."

"One other time he was on stage and he'd carried out this routine and he acquired a grill in his mouth. I used to be like, 'Come on, hand [it over]. I might be road in my British accent,'" she joked. "So I put his glasses on and his grill, everyone was like, 'Ah!' I was like, 'Don't care.'"

'So You Think You Can Dance' Judges Through the Years: Who Left and Why

Holker joined the So You Assume You Can Dance judging panel for season 18, which premiered on Monday, March four, sitting subsequent to Maksim Chmerkovskiy and JoJo Siwa.

"[Allison's] clearly obtained the expertise of the show and she or he knows all of that too, but she's also acquired numerous coronary heart and she or he adds that dimension to it as properly," Deeley informed Us.

As Holker, Chmerkovskiy, 44, and Siwa, 20, seek for America's Prime Dancer, the contestants are in for a variety of latest challenges.

"So, there's principally two large modifications to the show. The first … we're going to place all of the dancers right into a house collectively so that you get to know everyone," Deeley teased to Us. "And the second huge change is we're going to set real-world challenges for the dancers. So primarily, who might come out off the present and be knowledgeable dancer tomorrow? They'll have challenges, like a tour challenge, a Broadway challenge, an advert marketing campaign problem … and [handle] all those totally different parts that it's a must to need to develop into knowledgeable working dancer and be successful."
